This suggests that stocks for pre-order have already run out. This might also mean that you might have to wait in line at an Apple retail store, which can take forever.
On the US network operator AT&T, 200,000 customers have pre-ordered the iPhone 4S in the initial 12 hours it went on sale. The iPhone 4 received 600,000 pre-orders in the first 24 hours. However, this figure is spread across carriers and retailers across the UK, US, Japan, France, and Germany. Compared to the iPhone 4, the iPhone 4S may just break the record.
With Three, the 16 GB version can no longer be purchased via pre-order on their online store. You would have to head over to their retail store and fall in line to get the smartphone, which, again, may take forever.
